Whoppers are one of my favorite Halloween candies. I think it’s the crunch factor, for some reason, crunching always makes food more appealing to me.
I’m the person who orders a Blizzard at Dairy Queen and asks (pleads) with them to not over blend it, I like my crunch. Whoppers, and any other malt ball, are full of that fabulous crunch that I crave.
A friend once gave me some dark chocolate malt balls from Harry & David one year, which pretty much made the heavens open up and sing. Let’s just say the serving size need not apply on those babies!

And speaking of candy (which is all I’ve done this week), I almost forgot to tell you this! If you happen to have some non-candy treats, things like stickers, pencils, glow sticks, you can paint a pumpkin teal and join the #TealPumpkinProject. This is something super cool for kiddos (like mine) with food allergies.
The teal pumpkin is a ‘sign’ if you will that a house has non-food items for kids with food allergies. As a parent of a kid with food allergies, I never expect anyone to provide her with “safe” treats, as a mom, that’s my job, but when someone does have a safe alternative, that is AWESOME.
Above are our teal pumpkin at Trunk Or Treat. We have a teal bucket with some non-food treats, and my daughter even decorated our chalkboard to make a “food allergy friendly” sign. So we have candy and non-candy options.
Okay, back to candy. 🙂 I’ve already shared some awesome recipe round up that use Butterfingers, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Snickers.
Today it’s Whoppers!
